This is a difficult one as different products offer a
different range of services. Prices range from around $500 plus about
$400 per year in data fees for the
cheaper software packages, to several thousands of dollars for some
packages. However, unless you are an experienced
trader it is unlikely that a cheap software option will be of any use;
software is just a tool, and in uneducated
hands can be dangerous. Just think... if you had the latest power
tools would that automatically make you a good carpenter? Of course not
- investing is just the same, without the
proper discipline, training and information ANY software is useless.
It is also essential that you don't pay too much for any product as this will eat into
your investment capital. Remember, just because a product costs
thousands of dollars does not guarantee its quality or effectiveness.
You will be bombarded with promises of easy, massive wealth, with
pictures of smiling happy people with yachts and sports cars to prove
it. Come on! You know this is just marketing hype and has no basis in
reality. If something is too good to be true
it most likely is - you already know this but maybe need a
friendly reminder. As a general rule,
if you must attend a "free"
seminar BEFORE you can find out what a package costs don't buy it.
Every company should be upfront and transparent in ALL of its pricing
including ongoing fees. Visit their website where all of their prices
and ongoing fees should be listed, if not phone them and ask for a full
disclosure of ALL costs, if they don't
instantly respond, don't
do business with them. Ask yourself... what are they hiding?
